Dublin biz owner blames “jock itch” for sexual misconduct involving minors
John Michael Hammel used to be the owner of Prism Construction in Dublin but now, he’s the owner of three sexual misconduct charges involving minors.
Back in August, Hammel was accused of following young girls around COSI while masturbating, fondling himself in Petland, and exposing himself to a 5-year-old girl in a Half-Priced Books. The accusations were backed up by video evidence.
Yesterday evening, he was found guilty.
However, Hammel believes he’s an innocent man, seeing as he was innocently scratching his “jock itch” during all three incidents.
“Unfortunately in Ohio, it’s illegal to itch yourself in public, if it appears as though it could be a sex act. And unfortunately in Mr. Hammel’s case, he developed a severe case of basically jock itch,” said Hammel’s attorney per 10TV.
If that were true, why would he feel the need to tell the 5-year-old girl in the book store to “keep it a secret?”
