2nd scooter sharing service whips into Columbus
Is there enough room in this town for two electric scooter services?
We’ll find out with the addition of Lime-S whips.
Lime-S is an extension of their bright green, dock-less bicycle sharing service which was ushered into Columbus neighborhoods including Clintonville, Dublin, Worthington, Linden and the Near South Side by Nationwide Children’s Hospital this summer.
Similar to Bird Rides, people who download the Lime app can unlock the scooter for $1 and are charged 15 cents per minute.

Birds can reach 15mph whereas Lime-S scooters top out at 14.8mph.
A spokesman with the city of Columbus told Columbus Business First he didn’t know how many were in Columbus or where they were placed.
A few weeks ago, Bird Rides scooters made their silent Columbus debut overnight. You can still see them cruising around the Arena District, Short North and nearby neighborhoods but you won’t see them in Bexley.
The city banned them on the first day in a precautionary measure while they figure out if the electric scooters violate Ohio laws.
Do you think Lime-S can make a go in Columbus?
