30-year vet of Columbus radio dies suddenly

Columbus has lost a radio icon.

610 WTVN’s John Corby passed away suddenly Sunday morning at the age of 61.

Corby was the station’s long time afternoon host who had dedicated a collective 30 years to 610 WTVN.

“‘Corby,’ as most people called him, was famous for his ‘regular guy’ approach, dry wit, and popular bits like The Big Bass Brothers and Billy Ray Vulgar,” wrote the station in an article on their website.
