350+ sickened after eating at Powell Chipotle

The Columbus Dispatch reports some 368 people believe they became ill after eating at the 9733 Sawmill Parkway Chipotle location in Powell.

Several employees called off sick this past weekend, also.

Since the supposed food-borne illness struck, Chipotle’s stock slipped 6.8 percent.

The Sawmill Parkway location was closed on Monday as a precaution and posted this notice to its customers:

“If you consumed food from Chipotle at 9733 Sawmill Parkway between Thursday, July 26, and Monday, July 30, and have experienced symptoms of nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea, please call 740-368-1700 and ask to speak to a member of the communicable disease team.”

The illnesses haven’t been officially linked to Chipotle food consumption.

The Delaware General Health District and the fast casual Mexican grill continue to investigate.
