Adios, Mad Mex Gateway

Adios, Mad Mex Gateway

Mad Mex is the latest domino to fall in the South Campus Gateway, as first reported by The Columbus Dispatch.

The restaurant closed its doors on Monday, although no reason has been given (yet). The restaurant also has not released an official statement concerning the closing of the campus location.

Mad Mex, a Pittsburgh-based company, has 12 other locations, all in Pennsylvania.

Mad Mex follows another campus staple, like Ugly Tuna, in closing down after their lease was not renewed with Campus Partners.

Mad Mex was gateway’s first restaurant and has been a mainstay on campus since 2005.

This story will be updated with more details as they become available.
