“Arts-rich, child-centered” childcare center coming to Columbus
Columbus Museum of Art and Columbus State Community College are hitching up to provide Columbus with a new option for childcare.
Beginning this fall, you can enroll your preschooler in Wonder School.
This part-time preschool will serve as a training facility for preschool teachers, including education majors at CSCC.
“Wonder School fosters curiosity and discovery in an arts-rich, child-centered, responsive learning ecosystem for young children and the next generation of early childhood educators,” says the school’s website.
It will be broken up into two locations: the Childhood League Center, 674 Cleveland Ave and at Columbus Museum of Art, 480 E. Broad St.
CMA and CSCC will be collaborating with Childhood League Center, a nonprofit helping children and infants with special needs.
Naturally, the curriculum will incorporate art. Columbus Business First reports the students will get loads os hands-on learning using the arts.
For the first year, Wonder School will only accept 12 students on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Tuition is $4,050 for September through May.
