Bill introduced to rename part of I-270 after fallen Westerville officers

A new bill has been introduced that would rename a section of I-270 after the two fallen Westerville police officers.

The part of I-270 between State Route 3 and Cleveland Avenue would be called “Officers Anthony Morelli and Eric Joering Memorial Highway.”

Representatives Anne Gonzales (R – District 19) and Rick Carfagna (R – District 68) introduced the bill to the Ohio House of Representatives on Tuesday, reports 10TV.

Officers Morelli and Joering were killed in the line of duty when responding to a 911 hang-up call on February 10.
