Chill out, business people, you’re getting a deal on Columbus parking
Save your eye rolls for rush hour traffic and potholes, Columbus business people, because we really aren’t paying that much for parking.
Compared to similarly-sized cities in and around the U.S., parking in our central business district is among the cheapest.
This is according to information from a Chicago-based parking app called Parkopedia and Atlanta consultant Parking Property Advisors LLC, per Columbus Business First.
The study looked at data from 650 parking facilities and 300,000 parking spaces for a one-hour weekday stay, an eight-hour stay, a one-month rate and the cost for a specially reserved space.
Here’s how the rates shook out:
Overall, Columbus is among the most affordable cities for parking for all time allotments.
But don’t forget, this data is only looking at business districts—this does not include parking in areas like University District or Short North.
