“Never thought I would see him again,” wrote Tayla Renée Miller on Facebook after her beautiful dog Comet was recovered.

Comet, a nearly 3-year-old Shiba Inu, went missing from Miller’s Clintonville home on February 19.

Being her support animal, Comet’s disappearance took an extreme toll on Miller, so much so that her relationship with her boyfriend, Ty Cyphers of Grandview, became stressed, reports This Week News.

After flyers proved unsuccessful, Cyphers decided to take matters into his own hands. He conducted an investigation which lead him to Westgate Park in Hilltop where he showed pictures of Comet to a group of children and wound Lancaster area where Cyphers’ investigation ended; Comet was found.

This Week News reports ongoing legal matters bar Cyphers from divulging any more information.

On March 15, Miller and Comet were reunited. She posted their emotional reunion on the Clintonville Lost and Found Furry Friends Facebook page.

Heather Taylor-Ream created the page in 2013 and it has over 1,300 members now.
