Get out the way! Columbus race courses to avoid this weekend
Alright, so you didn’t sign up for either of the downtown races happening this weekend.
Don’t beat yourself up about it and definitely don’t punish yourself by getting stuck in the middle of all the ambitious runners who did sign up.
Here are the deets on two races happening in downtown Columbus this Saturday and Sunday and how to avoid the traffic:
BT5K
Saturday, June 2 from 8- 10:30am
Route: This race benefiting the American Brain Tumor Association will begin at McFerson Commons Park but the links to the course info aren’t working.
Our suggestion: Avoid W Spring St, W Long St, Neil Ave, W Nationwide Blvd, Marconi Blvd, W Hickory St, N Front St, W Locust St, N Ludlow St, and maybe even N High St from 6am- 11am.

Columbus 10K
Sunday, June 3 from 4:30- 11:30am
Route: This race benefiting the Ronald McDonald House will beginning at S Civic Center Dr and following loop north and west of downtown
Hard extended closure: S Civic Center between Broad and Town from 430a-1130a.
Other roads will experience rolling closure where police will closure roads before first runnings comes through and reopen shortly after the last comes through.
Note: This map has the 2017 date/logo on them, but the course and start time are the same again this year.
