FB is launching a new algorithm for news feeds so that users see more of what their friends post and comment on rather than articles and videos from news outlets.

Here’s how:

Mobile

Step 1.

Open your Facebook app and click the three little horizontal lines at the bottom of your screen (skip to Step 3 if using Android)

Step 2.

Scroll down a little bit and select “Settings”

Step 3.

Select “New Feed Preferences” from the pop-up menu

Step 4.

Select the first option that says “Prioritize who to see first”

Step 5.

Select 614now to stay up-to-date on all the latest happenings around Columbus!


Desktop

Step 1.

Open Facebook on your desktop and select the downward pointing arrow in the top right corner of your screen

Step 2.

Select “New Feed Preferences” from the dropdown menu
