Pay it forward movement honors fallen Westerville officers

As unfortunate as it is, sometimes things in life happen that are out of our control. But that doesn’t mean there’s nothing we can do to make the world a better place.

That’s the thought behind Kathy Cocuzzi’s 10th Of The Month Club.

The Facebook group is aimed at encouraging people, specifically the Westerville community, to share random acts of kindness on the 10th of each month.

Cocuzzi told 10TV that paying it forward is a way to honor the fallen Westerville police officers Eric Joering and Anthony Morelli who were both killed on February 10th.

The random acts of kindness posted in the Facebook group range from treating 911 dispatchers to dinner to filling a U-Haul with with donations.

Another member of the group, Stacey Valentas, created 1,500 postcards to spread the word about 10th of the Month.

The group has almost 500 followers already.

To get involved and/or see all the other random acts of kindness taking place in Columbus, join the 10th Of the Month Club here.
