Rape allegations catch up to Wexner Center doc
Following rape allegations from USA Today investigations, a colon and rectal surgeon at the Wexner Center has been put on paid leave.
The allegations against Ryan Williams were made by two women who accused Williams of anally raping them in 2008 and 2009 while he was working at the Cleveland Clinic.
While William denied the accusations, the Cleveland Clinic reach a confidential settlement with both women before Williams left the hospital.
He was brought on as an assistant professor and physician at Ohio State last summer but was placed on leave last month after USA Today brought OSU up to speed about the complaints against him.
Ohio State replied to an email inquiry from The Lantern, saying they were unaware of the “disturbing” allegations against Williams when they hired him. OSU assure they are taking the accusations very seriously.
