Suspect in Westerville cop killings recovers from wounds, thrown in jail

The man accused of shooting and killing two Westerville police officers has been released from the hospital and is currently sitting behind bars at the Franklin County Jail.
Officers Eric Joering and Anthony Morelli responded to a 911 hang up call on Cross Wind Drive on February 10. Upon arrival, authorities say Quentin L. Smith began firing at the officers.
Officer Joering died at the scene and Officer Morelli died at Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, reports ABC6. Smith was transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds.
Smith is facing two counts of aggravated murder and is due in court for his arraignment on Tuesday, February 20, 2018.
