There are spectacular holiday light displays all over the city including Wildlights, Franklin Park Conservatory’s Gardens Aglow, the Chinese Lantern Festival, and more, but we’ve saved one of the best for last.
Just 50 minutes west and a bit south of Columbus is a Christmas wonderland called Clifton Mill that would put Clark Griswold to shame.
This year, they’ve entered into the running for USA Today’s “Best Public Holiday Lights Display” competition!

A glowing red waterfall flows down the banks of a scenic countryside next to a big beautiful mill house that is jammed packed with santa kitsch, model trains, and a small scale band marching Script Ohio.
And of course, all the exterior lights are set to coincide with Trans-Siberian Orchestra music. But, that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Clifton Mill, along with 4 million other lights displays across the country, are battling it out for your vote.
Contest ends December 10.
