In a little nook at one of the cutest corner restaurants in Grandview, we tried one of the best macaroni and cheeses we’ve every had.
Sweet Carrot managed to open two new locations in the past year without taking their eyes off cheesy prize.
Their mac offers an even cheese—the real stringy kind—to noodle ratio with a soft underbelly and browned, molten top.
Speaking of the top, we chose to top ours with Ohio chicken meatballs and another helping with fried artichoke.

The meatballs were tender and savory while the artichoke offered a rich, nutty vegetarian option.
The portions are generous but don’t gorge yourself trying to finish in one sitting because we assure you, it’s just as good the second day.
Though mac and cheese may be considered a “guilty pleasure,” you’ll have nothing to feel guilty about after devouring these cheesy, saucy, unique macs.
