“One of Columbus’ best restaurants” closes permanently

What Columbus Monthly calls “one of Columbus’ best restaurants” closed this past weekend.

Kihachi Japanese Restaurant  at 2667 Federated Blvd has permanently closed and Chef-owner Ryuji “Mike” Kimura will enter his long-planned retirement.

Known best for tradition and omakase menus, Kihachi was the Japanese cuisine authority in Columbus for 25 years.

In 2010, Kihachi was graced by the presence of Anthony Bourdain and appeared on an episode of his show No Reservations.
