The Pizzuti Companies announced that construction has begun on their mixed-use development at 875 North High St, the former site of the Grandview Mercantile.

Industrious, the largest premium workplace provider in the U.S., and the first tenant for the building, has been named the first tenant.

The project includes 45,000 square feet of Class A office space, 12,000 square feet of retail space and 36 underground parking spaces as well as six surface spots.

The office space includes a 75 percent, 10-year tax abatement.

The next phase of the project will include luxury apartments and the redevelopment of North Wall Street at 40 West First Avenue. Groundbreaking for the apartments is planned for later this year.

“The mix of first-class office space, luxury apartments and a combination of top local and national retailers will make the new development at First Avenue and High Street a premier place to live, work and play in Columbus,” said Joel S. Pizzuti, President of the Pizzuti Companies. “We are thrilled to participate in another project that enhances the Short North’s reputation as a leading destination in the Midwest, and we look forward to being a part of the community for years to come.”
