Urban Meyer supporters could be biting nails up to 14 days

Update: Ohio State University announced that the Urban Meyer investigation is expected to take up to two weeks to complete.

Last week, OSU assembled a committee to probe Meyer’s knowledge about the domestic violence allegations against his former assistant coach Zach Smith.

Former federal prosecutor and a former chairwoman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Mary Jo White is leading the investigation, reports NBC4i.

University President Michael Drake will return any decision resulting from the investigation.


Ohio State University has formed an independent committee to investigate head football coach Urban Meyer’s knowledge of the domestic violence accusations against the former assistant coach Zach Smith.

Columbus Business First reports the committee is comprised of six people who will provide consultation, advice and also assist with communication to the board of trustees.

The committee includes Ohio State trustees Alex Fischer, Janet Porter and Alex Shumate, in addition to Ohio House Speaker Jo Ann Davidson, former acting U.S. Deputy Attorney General Craig Morford and former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio Carter Stewart.
