Court decides Dick’s Last Resort was being dick to Nationwide

A Franklin County court has decided Dick’s Last Resort was being a dick to Nationwide Arena for failing to pay out their lease after they closed.

Nationwide Realty Investors Ltd. sued the raunchy restaurant chain for breach of contract, saying they owed nearly $400,000 in back rent.

Dick’s Last Resort failed to respond to the lawsuit.

The restaurant lasted only one year and seven months out of their 10-year lease.

Columbus Business First reports the terms of the lease stipulated minimum rent payments for the first five years totaling $2.9 million.

A hearing is scheduled for October 3 to see just how much the landlord is entitled to.
