Viral video: CPD officer treated for overdose during drug arrest

The video of a Columbus police officer being given an overdose-reversing drug after exposure to meth during a drug bust in April has gone viral.
Officer Jeffrey Cain was an arrest in west Columbus when he became exposed to a white powder substance that the arrested woman was attempted to snort off her cell phone with a straw.
He immediately fell ill.

Fellow officers acted quickly to administer Narcan, a drug used to reverse the effect of an opiate overdose.
He was treated at Grant Medical Center and released shortly after.
The woman arrested, 43-year-old Danielle Vance, was found guilty of a misdemeanor possession of a drug-abuse instrument and served two days in jail.
