Covering many vibrant communities across central Ohio, the 614 is so much more than just Columbus. Welcome to the ‘Burb Breakdown, an ongoing series highlighting the unique character of neighborhoods from across this sprawling metro area we call home. In this installment, we turn our attention to some of the many great businesses you’ll find in the city of Bexley.

Bexley’s walkable retails corridors serve as the heart of its commercial and community centers, and are home to an increasing number of fantastic restaurants, unique shopping opportunities, and of course the newly renovated and historic Drexel Theatre. If you’re looking for somewhere new to eat or shop, stop and see what you can find!

Newfangled Kitchen| 2258 East Main Street, Bexley, OH 43209 | (614) 817-1099 | newfangledkitchen.com

Laura & Eric Dennison opened this spot in late 2018, and it didn’t take long for it to become a crowd favorite in Central Ohio. Newfangled Kitchen has been known for their unique twists on meatloaf, with both hot and cold meatloaf sandwich options being available. The Fang, the Newfangled Kitchen’s classic sandwich, is topped with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, red onion, and “fang sauce”—a sweet and tangy sauce which compliments the sandwich perfectly. If you like to turn up the heat with your meals, Lucifer’s Hammer is a spicier version of the classic sandwich, topped with jalapeños, pepper jack cheese, and diablo sauce. For dessert, they offer a funky sweet & salty duo, a chocolate chip cookie with crushed kettle chips on top. Trust us, it’s delicious.
