Pig Out: Barrel & Boar hoofing it to Canal Winchester

First, Canal Winchester landed the flagship location for Brewdog USA. Now, a veteran of Columbus barbecue is eyeing the booming central Ohio suburb for his latest gastropub concept.

Barrel & Boar, a local BBQ-centric gastropub with multiple locations around town, will be coming to Canal Winchester this summer at 10 S. High St. – the former location of Village Wines and Bistro.

The gastropub from 25-year BBQ veteran Stan Riley features locally-sourced meats smoked in-house, upscale takes on classics like shrimp and grits and crab cakes, and classic pub fare. The Canal location will also serve a lineup of Ohio craft beer and signature cocktails from a full bar.

Barrel and Boar’s Canal Winchester location will join existing stores in Gahanna, Newark, Westerville, and inside the North Market.
