5 awesome local attraction, activities disappearing after Labor Day

Calling all procrastinators! Labor Day officially marks the final hurrah of  summer. Here are five attractions and activities that will also be going away after Labor Day Weekend.

Columbus Recreation and Parks Department Community Pools

Get your last dip in and then stuff your swimsuit in the back of your drawer for another season. Most Columbus community pools will be closed for the season after this weekend. A day pass is just $1.

Zoombezi Bay and Jungle Jack’s Landing at the Columbus Zoo

Did you let the summer go by without using your Zoombezi Bay pass? The Wild Tides Pool and Sea Tubes go “dry” soon. The Falcon Fall drop tower ride and the Sugar Glider ride both debuted this year at Jungle Jack’s this summer and won’t be back until next. Enjoy them with old favorites like the Sea Dragon and Jungle River Falls.

COSI

COSI’s not going anywhere, but Jim Henson’s Muppets and Mythic Creatures exhibits will be vanishing back into the realm of the imagination after the weekend. Come see Kermit, Bert, and Ernie in the fur and spot the sasquatch and unicorns before they’re gone.

Actors’ Theatre

Actors’ Theatre finishes its final show of the season until next summer, Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Dangerous Liaisons). A tale of sexual manipulation and reputations pitted against each other, Dangerous Liaisons follows two former lovers as they coerce each other with tragic results. Free public theater in Schiller Park won’t be back until May 2020.
