Dance off, beatboxing, MC battle, live podcast in store for 2×2 Hip-Hop Fest
Columbus’ homegrown hip hop fest returns for its fifth year on July 27. This year, 2×2 Hip-Hop Festival Presented by CoverMyMeds is back with another day filled with good hip-hop for the entire family. With acts such as Evidence of the legendary hip-hop group Dilated Peoples, plus Blu & Exile, Torae, Sa-Roc, and 38 Spesh rounding out the main acts of the festival, the organizing team hopes to celebrate the five-year milestone in a big way.
In addition to an impressive lineup of underground and independent hip-hop acts, 2×2 attendees can look forward to a b-boy/b-girl battle hosted by Flavor’d Flow Studio, the crowd favorite “Killer 16” MC battle, and beatbox competition. The fest will also feature a hands-on area provided with help of non-profit partner The Dick & Jane Project, live graffiti art, and more.
Thanks to the continued support from GCAC, as well as sponsorship from Yellow Brick Pizza, Seventh Son Brewing, and PBR, 2×2 Hip-Hop Festival is adding a music industry day of workshops and talks that they’re calling 2×2 E.D.U.
