The Weekend Lookout: Flea market, Apple Pie mead, BBQ

Mitch Hooper

Ah, the weekend. The only thing getting us through the work week. This time around in the city we’ll see Two Dollar Radio Headquarter celebrating its second birthday on Saturday and the Columbus Flea on Sunday. And if you’re looking to laugh at some “athletes,” the 3-on-3 basketball tourney at Land-Grant on Sunday should provide you with many opportunities.

Two Dollar Radio HQ 2nd Birthday Party @ Two Dollar Radio Headquarters

Happy two years, Two Dollar Radio HQ! This Saturday it will be hosting a celebration where visitors can meet up with authors and writers as well as enjoy drinks and specials on books.

Apple Pie Takeover @ Brothers Drake Meadery

Summer never ends at Rehab Tavern. Stop out at the Franklinton bar to feast on smoked meats and sip back BBQ themed cocktails. This is the final installment of the outdoor event so soak up the sun while you still can!

Fall Flea 2019 @ Seventh Son Brewing

Local crafters, artists, and designers will be setting up shop at Seventh Son from 11am- 5pm. Just a friendly reminder that while Seventh Son is typically dog-friendly, there are no pups allowed at the flea market.

Mystery Science Theatre 3000: The Great Cheesy Movie Circus Tour @ Jo Ann Davidson Theater

The movie critiquing peanut gallery is making a stop in Columbus! MST3K is bringing all of the lovable characters like Tom Servo and Gypsie to the Jo Ann Davidson Theater where they will roast and rip a B-rated film.

Sports & Jorts: 3-on-3 Charity Basketball @ Land-Grant Brewing Company

It’s a collision of local musicians and organizations and sports. Who has the best jump shot for charity? This event is hosted by We Amply Voices (formerly known as The Dick & Jane Project) and proceeds will go towards benefiting the newly named program.
