The Weekend Lookout: Events you have to check out this weekend

Mitch Hooper

Welcome back to another installment of the Weekend Lookout. We hope your work week was light and your weekend will be full!

Hilltop Relaunch Party @ Ace Of Cups

It’s back! It’s back! Holy !@#$, it’s back! Crack open a tall one with everyone at Ace Of Cups and make up for all that lost time. Oh, how we’ve missed you, sweet Hilltop.

What? Fest @ 400 West Rich

It’s not a Who? Fest. It’s a What? Fest. Here, there will be a collision of artists, musicians, and creatives all under the 400 West Rich roof. Network with local creatives, tour the galleries, and enjoy live music featuring Yheti as the headliner.

Whitehall Food Truck Festival @ Whitehall

The party starts at 5 p.m. with loads of food trucks hauling over to Whitehall. This free-to-attend event offers plenty of activities for children and live music throughout the evening.

Christmas In July @ Zoombezi Bay

It might be a little too warm for Santa, but this heat isn’t anything Zoombezi can’t solve. Celebrate the half way point to Christmas with this wintery-themed event at the waterpark on Sunday. From Christmas characters to frozen treats, you’ll be in the holiday spirit in no time.

Gabriel Iglesias @ The Ohio State Fair

Looking for an excuse to check out the fair? What? The butter astronaut exhibit not doing it for you?! Either way, comedian Gabriel Iglesias is coming to the Ohio State Fair this year to crack some jokes and it should be absolutely hilarious. Whether it’s his observational humor, jokes about his family, or his impressions, the man is truly funny.

Pups On The Patio @ BrewDog Short North

Sunday Funday applies to everyone—including dogs. Bring yours to the BrewDog Short North location for a day on the patio, or bring home a new friend thanks to RESCUEDohio setting up shop with adoptable dogs. It’s a win-win. Get a beer and a dog!
