Holy guacamole, Local Cantina Short North opens tomorrow

One Short North restaurant front is transitioning from burgers to tacos.

Local Cantina will celebrating its grand opening tomorrow at 5pm at 600 N High St., next to Black Point Steakhouse.

Coincidently, the grand opening coincides with Taco Tuesday. Celebrate with $2 tacos.

The space was formerly occupied by Stack City.

This will be the central-Ohio based restaurant chain’s ninth location.

Owner George Tanchevski told Columbus Business First that he always wanted to be back in the Short.

He previously was a co-owner of La Fogata, which since has become The Eagle.

Tanchevski also owns South Village Grille in German Village, Local Bar in the Short North, and Oldskool in Clintonville.

Hyde Park Restaurant Group closed Stack City back in September after a three-year run.
