Shake Shack Short North is officially OPEN
A new burger joint is shaking up Short North—Shake Shack is officially open at 740 N. High St.
This is the second Central Ohio location for the famed “roadside burger stand,” the first being in Easton. Click here to read about one (614) Magazine writer’s experience there.
The building has already gotten a lot of attention for its beautiful paint job, courtesy of public muralists Sarfati and Eric Skotnes.

Shake Shack is best known for its 100% all-natural Angus beef burgers, fresh-made frozen custard, crispy crinkle cut fries, and more. The greasy, gluttonous food can be enjoyed on the outdoor patio at the new Short North restaurant.
Also special at this location are specialty frozen custard concretes in partnership with popular local cafe Fox in the Snow:
- Brownie Points – Vanilla custard, salted caramel sauce, Fox in the Snow Cafe salted caramel chocolate brownie, chocolate toffee
- Pie Oh My – Vanilla custard blended with pieces of Fox in the Snow Cafe seasonal pie
Guests can wash their burgers down with brews from Taft Brewing Co., a Cincinnati-based brewery setting up shop in the Franklinton Gravity development soon. Additional beers and wine will also be offered at the Short North location.
As part of Shake Shack’s mission to “Stand For Something Good,” this new location will donate 5% of sales from the Pie Oh My concrete to Gleaners Community Food Bank, a nonprofit that provides local households in need with access to sufficient, nutritious food.
