Poll: should OSU allow firearms in locked cars?
The Students for Concealed Carry Foundation, a student gun rights group active at The Ohio State University, has announced a settlement with OSU over concealed-carry permit holders storing guns in vehicles while parked on university property.
Per the settlement, OSU updated its student code of conduct to allow firearms to be stored in locked vehicles on campus – as long as the owner holds a license to carry a concealed handgun.

The student gun group says the settlement resolves a lawsuit first brought to court in 2014.
According to university spokesman Ben Johnson, the university’s new policy will more closely reflect state law on firearms storage. Ohio law already allows conceal carry holders to keep guns stored in a locked vehicle.
