Knead a bakery? Former downtown Kroger facility up for sale

The former Kroger bakery near downtown Columbus has been put up for sale. Offers are now being made on the 10-acre property at 457 Cleveland Ave.

The bakery closed in February after more than 90 years in business. Kroger claimed “the outdated layout and age of the equipment” were inhibiting the company from staying competitive.

Senior Vice President of real estate company CBRE, Joseph Kimener, told NBC4i the property would be very desirable for incoming tech companies.
