The hoagie hero of northeast Ohio will be flying into central Ohio for the first time this spring.

Dave’s Cosmic Subs will be opening at 1764 N High St. on Ohio State’s campus this May.

The 1,100-square-foot space was formerly occupied by an office. The rock ‘n’ roll-themed sub shop will be able to accommodate 10 dine-in customers, though most orders are expected to be carryout.

Dave’s Cosmic Subs offers a huge selection of sandwiches served on either vegan, kosher Italian, whole wheat, or gluten-free bread baked fresh daily. The shop’s chips are also gluten-free, cholesterol free, trans fat free, with no artificial colors, flavors, MSG, preservatives, or features. The trademarked Original Dave’s Cosmic Sauce is all-natural and vegan, too!

Local entrepeneur and former brewery at North High Brewing, Chris May, will operate the Columbus location of the franchise.

Once open, Dave’s will be open daily from 11am to 9pm, then extend their hours later on for late night customers. They’ll also offer catering, their own delivery, plus delivery through services like UberEats and Grubhub.

The first Cosmic Dave’s opened in Chagrin Falls in 1997, but has since expanded to other parts of Ohio, Georgia, California, and Texas.
