Columbus can now add another trophy to its shelf of national mentions.

Recently, Travel + Leisure put together a list of the “Best U.S. Citites to Live in Right Now” with Columbus coming in at #10.

“Columbus is one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S.—and in the Midwest—with a population increase of nearly 11% in the past eight years and job growth of 14% in roughly the same period,” wrote Travel + Leisure.

The article called attention to the city’s biggest employer, Ohio State University, for its “vibrant culture” and stellar football program.

Thurman Cafe’s double-patty Thurmanator, COSI, and the Columbus Museum of Art also got mentions.

Austin, Texas came in at #1, which doesn’t hurt as badly now knowing they didn’t steal Columbus Crew SC away from us!

The methodology included factors like diversity, average family income, median home price, projected job growth, population, cost of living, public education, crime, ease of living, and amenities.
