As far as suburban Independence Day celebrations go, Hilliard typically puts on an impressive show. Now, the home of the Wildcats (and Panthers and Jaguars) is looking to up the ante for July 4th 2019.

The newly-dubbed “Freedom Fest” will kick off Hilliard’s July 4th Festivities this year at Roger A. Reynolds Municipal Park (3800 Veterans Memorial Drive).

Entertainment at the Municipal Park begins with a performance from members of school bands from Bradley, Darby, and Davidson, who will play from 2:45 to 5:00 PM.

Freedom fest also marks the return of Threat Level Midnight, a band that is made up of alumni from Hilliard City Schools. TLM is set to perform from 5:15 to 5:45 PM, followed immediately by a yet-unannounced “national-level headliner,” which will take the stage leading up to the fireworks display.

Where’s your favorite place to celebrate the 4th? Planning to give Freedom Fest a shot? Let us know in the comments.
