Kroger is expanding outside the grocery game and taking the driver’s seat on a new initiative, literally. The newly-launched Kroger Auto Buying Program is designed to help save customers money when they purchase a new or used vehicle, reports Columbus Business First.

Per the Kroger website, the key benefits car buyers can take advantage of through the program include:

  • See what others paid for the vehicle they want
  • Get upfront, discounted price offers on in-stock vehicles
  • 16,000+ Certified Dealers nationwide
  • $3,400 average savings off MSRP on new cars
  • Find great local deals on used vehicles

Additionally, customers who purchase a vehicle through the Kroger Auto Buying Program will receive a complimentary Kroger Fuel VIP membership which will provide one extra fuel point for every dollar spent in-store and online for an entire year after the vehicle is purchased.

Shoppers can sign in online to search vehicles, unlock exclusive offers, and see the actual price they’ll pay at the dealership. Once they know the price, users can visit a local dealer to test drive a vehicle and purchase it, reports Columbus Business First.
