Celebrate National Volunteering Week with Columbus-based service app

Always wanted to volunteer, but not sure where to start? Now, you can start with just one point.

POINT app, a Columbus-based tech non-profit, wants to put you in touch with service opportunities around the city.

Filter by which causes are most important to you (poverty, education, homelessness, climate, etc.), tap “Go,” and voila; tons of volunteering options right at your fingertips.

Be it Habitat for Humanity MidOhio, Faith Mission of Ohio, or the Furniture Bank of Central Ohio, POINT will point you in the right direction.

Along with being able to customize service type, the app will also allows users to share any event or opportunity with other users.

Nonprofits can currently sign up and get their charities posted for free at pointapp.org/charity.

POINT App is in both the Apple app store and Google Play store.
