Power outage prolongs parking pains in Short North

Columbus is extending the grace period before it starts issuing parking violations of the new rules in the Short North after the software experienced a nationwide outage.

Is Anonymous at work, or is it just a happy coincidence? We may never know, but we’re not complaining.

Officers won’t be writing live tickets until February 19 which is about two weeks later than originally planned, reports The Dispatch.

The rules first went into effect on January 22.

The rules require anyone parking in one of five zones throughout Short North, Italian Village, and Victorian Village to pay by hour or to purchase a permit.
