An uncommon, yet popular international grocery store in north Columbus will be getting a sister location later this year.
The second central Ohio Saraga International Grocery will go into a 100,000-square-foot former Kohl’s store near Whitehall at 2750 S. Hamilton Road, across from Eastland Mall, reports This Week News.
Though the owner John Sung isn’t exactly sure when it will open, he hopes its within the next three months.
The first Saraga location in Columbus opened in 2013 at 1265 Morse Road and is what Bon Appétit Magazine writer Zahir Jonmohamed calls “The international grocery store of my dreams.”

The market also offers visitors a huge selection of Asian, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, African, European, and American foods.
This Week News reports Sung is considering opening a third Columbus location on Cleveland Ave in the Northern Lights Shopping Center here in Columbus.
Stay tuned for more on that as it develops.
The first two Saraga International Grocery stores are in Indiana.
