To some of you, the results of the “Best and Worst Drivers by State” study by QuoteWizard Insurance News may come as a surprise and to others, Ohio may not rank low enough. But at the end of the day, we have to accept that we are the 8th worst drivers in the country.
Researchers reached this conclusion by sampling incident data from QuoteWizard by Lending Tree and the Federal Highway Administration.

The rankings are a sum of weighted means calculated from accidents, speeding tickets, DUIs, citations, and fatalities.
Maine, South Carolina, and Nebraska took the bottom three spots on the list. And even though they may be positively lousy at football, Michigan managed to snag the title of best drivers in the country.
