‘Burb Breakdown: Events to enjoy in Powell for the holidays and beyond

SPONSORED

Covering many vibrant communities across central Ohio, the 614 is so much more than just Columbus. Welcome to the ‘Burb Breakdown, an ongoing series highlighting the unique character of neighborhoods from across this sprawling metro area we call home. Today, we take a look at the fun, family-friendly events that Powell has in store for the holidays and into the next year.

Powell is your Home for the Holidays

Holidays in Powell are packed with festive, family-friendly fun. For the main event, the City of Powell is hosting the annual Holidays in Powell celebration from 2-5:30 PM, Saturday, Dec. 7 in the Municipal Building at 47 Hall Street.

Admission to the event is free and includes crafts, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, a hot chocolate and coffee bar, music and a special visit from the snow princesses! Be sure to get there early—guests must be in line by 5 PM to visit with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.

At 6 PM, Join Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and Powell Mayor Jon C. Bennehoof in Village Green Park as they illuminate the City’s Christmas tree!

Parking for the event is available in the City’s Municipal Building parking lot or in public parking spaces in downtown Powell.
