Cruise through Dublin for Classic Car Show extravaganza

The annual Arthritis Foundation Classic Auto Show & Cruise-In is back for its 37th year and better than ever. The car show extravaganza will be going down June 27-29 at the Dublin Metro Center.

The three-day event kicks off Thursday Night at Home2 with a free community night that includes a BBQ, pool party, and an outdoor viewing of Back to the Future complete with an onsite DeLorean! Registration is required, but the event is free and open to all thanks to support from Tinder Box Dublin and Home2.

The car show opens to the public at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 28 for a Cruise-In and 9:00 a.m. featuring 1,000 antique cars, street rods, muscle cars, customs, motorcycles, and European exotics with 100 trophies, each over six feet tall, being presented to the “best of the best.” Live Music starts at 4:30 p.m. with Joe Cool & Spike. The Street Players will headline with a lively oldies set on the Geico and Creative Mobile Interiors Stage Friday at 6:00 p.m.

Saturday’s Classic Auto Show, beginning at 9:00 a.m. attracts more than 1,000 classic and collector cars. This year’s featured anniversary year vehicles are Mazda Miata, Fox Body Mustang, Fiat, and Trucks & SUVs. Live music starts at 2:30 p.m. with the Driving Guitars and the evening will be headlined by The Eddie Polina Band from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Enjoy several special event features like our new Kid Zone, open 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday which will include a valve cover race track, interactive crafts, photo ops, and face painting. The 2019 Special Vehicle Tent presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts will showcase rare Hypercars on Friday and Supercars old and new on Saturday. The American Muscle Tent presented by Cruisin Classics, will feature the ultimate representation of American muscle cars.

All of this plus local and regional food selections, Pepsi, Papa John’s Pizza, and ice cold domestic and craft beer, cider, and local wine by Oak & Brazen can be found in the 555 Metro Place North lot.

General admission tickets are $15 at the door, $25 for both days, cash only. Children under 12 are free. $5 discount at the gate for active military, veterans, police, fire, and EMT, with ID.

Tickets can be purchased with credit card online, in advance, at www.arthritis.org/autoshow. Special discount tickets for Saturday are available at participating O’Reilly Auto Parts stores. Show proceeds benefit the Arthritis Foundation.
