TopGolf may be getting some competition if a New York-based company follows through on their swing. Forbes reports that OnCore, a golf technology company, has revealed plans to build a $30 million sports and entertainment facility in Buffalo, New York with the intent to expand into the Columbus market.

OnCore Buffalo will bare a resemblance to TopGolf venues with its three-tiered, all-seasons driving range where customers can play a variety of games. Additionally, OnCore will have a full-service kitchen and bar for its guests.

But unlike its competitor, OnCore will offer other sporting experiences like virtual baseball, basketball, hockey, and potentially indoor surfing, reports Forbes.

There will also be options for younger guests including an augmented reality target shooting experience involving aliens and Pokemon.

Construction of OnCore Buffalo is expected to begin soon with an anticipated opening sometime in 2021.

614NOW reached out to OnCore for comment on the sports complex expanding to Columbus, but have not yet heard back.
