Bartenders Helping Bartenders: Buckeye Vodka launches relief campaign

Mitch Hooper

As more bartenders and servers look for financial relief during shelter-in-place, Buckeye Vodka is bellying up to the bar with a challenge where these folks can win cash.

In April, Buckeye Vodka is challenging bartenders in Ohio to create a mixology video to post on social media using a bottle from the brand. At the conclusion of the month, five bartenders will be named winner and awarded a $900 cash prize in addition to three fans who submit mixology videos. During this time, Buckeye Vodka will be calling on local leaders and officials for support and to raise awareness of the challenges being faced by the industry.

“The Buckeye state has been hit hard, and our bartenders are one of the groups that has been hit the hardest, and earliest,” said Jim Finke, Co-Founder of Buckeye Vodka, in a press release. “Our hearts go out to them, and we want to help. We’re hoping this campaign will provide a much needed creative outlet for Ohioans at home, fill the winners’ pockets with some much needed cash, and turn up the awareness of the need, overall.”

Fans can also get engaged beyond making their own videos, too. For every comment that tags @BuckeyeVodka, plus uses the hashtag #BVFan on the bartenders video posted on social media, Buckeye Vodka, who partnered with Sculpture Hospitality, will donate an additional dollar up to $3,000.
