Former Ohio State Buckeye, now Utah Jazz point guard, Mike Conley has left the NBA’s sequestered “bubble” for the most adorable reason.

Sunday, Conley raced home to Columbus, Ohio just in time to be with his wife, Mary, to celebrate the birth of their second child, Elijah Michael Conley.

Because Conley left the NBA’s contained environment in Orlando, he will be required to quarantine for four days upon his return, assuming he tests negative for COVID-19 and doesn’t stay away more than a week before he rejoins the team.

Since the restart, Conley has averaged 18 points and five assists per game for the Jazz. He will certainly miss the team’s Monday playoff game against the Denver Nuggets.

Game Two of that series is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 19  with Game Three on Friday, Aug. 21.
