Celebrate International Picnic Day your way
It’s International Picnic Day! With some date nights being put on temporary COVID-related hold, today is the perfect excuse to whip out a blanket and enjoy a meal together in the fresh outdoors.
On Tuesday, the Dublin Convention & Visitors Bureau (DCVB) launched Picnic Packs. This initiative’s goal is to support local restaurants while also encouraging residents to explore the outdoors of Dublin.
Twenty-five area restaurants, such as Mezzo, Cap City Diner, and the Rail Burger, have shared their top “picnic picks” from their menus here.
The DCVB team also created an outdoor dining map, highlighting key picnic locations around Dublin’s 60-plus parks.
Columbus also has a wealth of parks for the perfect picnic date. Below are five you can escape to for lunch instead of stopping through a drive-thru or having it delivered.
Franklin Park – 1777 E. Broad St.
Sharon Woods Metro Park – 6911 Cleveland Ave., Westerville
The Topiary Park – 480 E. Town St.
Columbus Park of Roses – 3901 N. High St.
Highbanks Metro Park – 9466 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center
