Columbus getting sneak peek of Wendy’s breakfast before national rollout

Update: A week ahead of the national roll-out date, Wendy’s is offering its new breakfast menu at all Columbus locations.

02/06/2020: “Bold new morning options” will soon be available at Dublin-based Wendy’s.

Breakfast Baconator, Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit, Frosty-ccino, and more will roll out nationwide on March 2.

“We’ve crafted unique sandwiches that will leave you craving another, like the Breakfast Baconator, which features a fresh-cracked egg, signature sausage patty and six strips of Applewood smoked bacon,” Kurt Kane, President, U.S. and Chief Commercial Officer of The Wendy’s Company, said in a press release.

In true Wendy’s fashion, the fast food chain made the announcement by taunting its competitor.

“Hey @McDonalds, roast us,” they tweeted.

With no response, Wendy’s went on to tweet, “Yeah, we wouldn’t wake up for your breakfast either. Don’t worry, on 3/2 there will be something worth waking up for.”

Wendy’s promises their breakfast to be “fresh, craveable, and bold.” Think they can follow through?
