Hen Quarter Reopens

Julian Foglietti

The Upscale Southern food spot Hen Quarter in Dublin has announced they will be reopening June 10th. The restaurant had closed its doors on March 15th due to state mandates.

During the closure Hen Quarter chose not to open for curbside, and instead focused on offering food for members of the service industry, healthcare workers and employees of the restaurant.

The move was funded by owner Ron Jordan so relief funds from the Small Business Association’s Paycheck Protection Program could be put towards making sure employees of the restaurant were taken care of during the closure.

In an additional move ahead of their June reopening, Hen Quarter began a large scale meal donation program sending food to healthcare workers at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, OhioHealth Riverside, and Grant Medical Center. To date the restaurant has donated 800 meals to feed frontline healthcare workers.

“Delivering these meals is the smallest way I can think to say thank you to the individuals who have and continue to sacrifice their own health and safety for the benefit of our community amidst this global health crisis,” says Jordan.

Hen Quarter will be reopening for lunch and dinner service on June 10th. New capacity limits will be in place in line with state issued restrictions. They will also be offering curbside pickup for the first time as well as debuting a new touchless menu.
