Making changes, still on a mission

Mission Coffee has permanently closed its Price Avenue location in the Short North, which the company had called home for eight years. They will continue to operate for the foreseeable future out of the pop-up café they opened in the Mission Coffee Co. Annex & Roastery in the Italian Village in April.

“We will be looking for a new ‘forever’ home in the future,” said the cafe in a statement. “This is not a goodbye so much as a pause, reflection, and redirection for things to come.”

Mission Coffee is pleased that they have been able to continue serving customers from the Annex, and note that they even offer curbside pickup and free parking there–perks not found in the Short North. While they will use the 4th Street location as their headquarters, they also maintain in-office locations to serve their customers, plus an online store.

“We are selling beans, featured drafts, brewing supplies, and very soon, a full espresso bar menu,” said the company.

Mission Coffee also said they are committed to their efforts to educate the community about their product, but that their classes are currently on hold due to the ongoing pandemic. You can find out more about Mission Coffee’s story here.
