Shop tax-free this weekend, Columbus

Need to save some pennies, Columbus? Friday morning started Ohio’s sales-tax holiday, when you can purchase any of the following without paying that little extra: 

  • clothing items, including shoes, priced at $75 dollars or less
  • school supplies priced at $20 dollars or less
  • school instructional materials priced at $20 dollars or less.

There are no limits on total purchase. Whether the exemption applies is determined item by item. 

This year’s tax-free weekend ends Aug. 9 at 11:59 p.m.
