Want to be a COVID-19 guinea pig? Sign up for the vaccine trial in Columbus

There are volunteers in Columbus who are currently receiving a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine—or a placebo. They don’t know which one. 

That’s the nature of clinical trials, and this particular one is being conducted by central Ohio-based company Aventiv Research Inc.

They have enrolled well over 100 people in their study, but still hope to add around 200 more. Interest has come from as far away as Massachusetts and Vermont.

The COVID-19 trial is open to generally healthy people between the ages of 18 and 85. Volunteers can be compensated as much as $900 for time and travel.
